Meet Our Team!
Melissa Songco
Chief Executive Officer
Melissa joined Habitat for Humanity Waukesha - Jefferson - Rock as CEO in 2021, bringing a career dedicated to nonprofit leadership and community development. Her connection to Habitat began more than 20 years ago while studying at Marquette University, where she volunteered locally and participated in a Global Village trip to Zambia. That experience sparked a lasting commitment to affordable housing, an inspiration she jokes was a case of “Habititus” that never left. Having previously served organizations such as Milwaukee Habitat, Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater MKE, and Junior Achievement of WI, Melissa leads our team with a steadfast commitment to ensuring Habitat WJR's continuous growth throughout all three counties.
