Did you know by donating your vehicle to Habitat you can help build and repair affordable homes while also helping the environment?
Since launching the national vehicle donation program, Cars for Homes, in 2005, Habitat has accepted over 120,000 vehicles for reselling or recycling, raising funds for Habitat to partner with local families to build stability and security that a safe affordable home allows.
Cars, trucks, RV’s, vans, SUV’s, boats and motorcycles are accepted whether they are running or not, located in either Waukesha or Jefferson county.

How To Donate Your Car
How do I start?
Start your donation online by navigating to our donation wizard, or call our hotline: 1-877-277-4344. Our team will ask you to provide such as vehicle make, model, vehicle identification number (VIN) and current mileage. If your vehicle is accepted, you can schedule a pick up.
What kinds of vehicles can be donated?
We accept almost every vehicle, including cars, trucks, motorcycles, recreational vehicles, boats, snowmobiles, farm equipment and construction equipment. Vehicles must be in either Waukesha or Jefferson counties.
What happens to donated cars?
About half of our cars are sold to licensed dealers at wholesale auctions and are reused for transportation. The other half are typically transported to auto salvage yards where all reusable car parts, batteries, tires and fluids are removed. Vehicles that can be recycled are crushed, shredded and recycled into steel.
